Physician DME Revenue Program Added to Healthcare Networks of America Programs. Just in time to meet new Medicare Guide lines effective September 8, 2009

Phoenix, Arizona — Healthcare Networks of America has just added to its membership portfolio a program for physicians to not only enhance their services to patients but develop a new revenue stream previously not captured by physicians. DME Advanta, LLC. has offered HNA Network Physicians an easy turn-key program that will provide patients with the ability to receive their DME rehabilitation products & services in the physician’s office. This program can boost a member’s revenues and provide another way to enhance patient satisfaction.

Many physicians currently have a Stock & Bill consignment program provided to them by a manufacturer or distributor. As of September 8, 2009 Medicare will not allow this type of program.

SUMMARY OF CHANGES:

Free evaluation

Healthcare Networks of America considered DME Advanta’s program carefully, and chose to offer the program to physicians as a solution to their DME dispensing needs. This selection was due to many factors such as their free evaluation, the turn-key program with ease of set-up for the physician, as well as their industry expertise & experience. DME Advanta, LLC. provides the consultation to set up the program and manage it, the billing, legal compliance, operational processes, medical protocols and more to ensure your success. All the monies collected goes directly to your lock box!

Healthcare Networks of America was formed to help healthcare providers come together with large national networks. The result of this combination was the negotiation of higher reimbursements, fee-for-service contracts with PPO carriers, and other health plan payers. Since 1993, HNA successfully built a provider organization for over 18,000 healthcare professionals in all 50 states. HNA’s multi-specialty network currently services 6,800 payers and 24.5 million patients nationwide.

The purpose of this change request is to define and prohibit certain arrangements where an enrolled supplier of durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMEPOS) maintains inventory at a practice location which is not owned by the enrolled DMEPOS supplier, but rather, owned by a physician, non-physician practitioner or other health care professional for the purpose of distribution, commonly referred to as a consignment closet and/or stock and bill arrangement. In addition, this change request will instruct physicians, non-physician practitioners or other health care professional’s practices that use of consignment closets and/or stock and bill arrangements (as defined above) must be in compliance with current standards.
